EDUCATIONAL SCHOOL SYSTEMS IN SPAIN AND CZECH REPUBLIC

INTRODUCTION
As requested, we have interviewed a group of Spaniards and Czech Republic teachers to find out more information about the educational school systems of their countries. Our findings are outlined below.
PRIMARY
After completing the pre-primary education, Children in Spain go to primary school at the age of 6.The same happens with the children from Czech Republic, with the difference that primary education is completed at the the age of 15, whereas in Spain children enter the secondary school at the age of 12.Students in Spain and in the Czech Republic are taught subjects like maths, science, religion, physical education and the that is when children start to attend English lessons. For both countries, primary school is compulsory.
SECONDARY
Students in Spain and Czech go to the secondary school until the age of 18. That is when children gain more specific knowledge about subjects similar to those of the primary school. Facilities like equipped gyms and laboratories are offered.
HIGHER EDUCATION
This level of education is for both countries optional. Students can get into university after taking specific exams depending on each student's orientation and after completing the age of 19.
LANGUAGES
Children in Spain are involved with foreign languages for the first time in the primary school. English is their first choice and when they have entered the secondary educational level they take exams to be divided into individual levels.Things are similar for Czechs, where English is also taught from the primary level.
CONCLUSION
Wanting to make a comparison to the Greek educational school system, Spanish and Czech educational school systems are similar with only slight differences.
