Last Saturday on 28/03/09 at 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. for one hour it was earth's time. Everybody had to turn off the lights to save energy. It was the first time that millions of people did something like this to help the earth. Usually they try to achieve this by recycling and saving energy but that day they all turned off the lights for one single hour. Last Saturday at the port of Nafpaktos there was an event called "Earth Hour". The port was full of people that attended this event. There was also a band of people from another country, and adults from our schools that played a characteristic melody with drums and other instruments. All Those people and children were wearing the same t-shirts with a big "60" in the middle of their shirts. Also, all the coffee shops around the port turned off the lights and lit candles. In my opinion that Saturday was one of the best events in Nafpaktos. I believe that everybody has to save energy to save the earth.
